									Hey guys! <br>I know we have been encountering a lot of math problems that require us to know how to multiply by a fraction, and we need a refresher on it. Today is going to be that refresher of all things fractions! Here is what you need to do:<br><br>If you would like to work with a partner and you know you will be successful with one another you can. I will not be giving us another day to do these things, so it is very important you stay focused and work hard to complete all of these tasks.<br>:<br>Set up notes in blue journal:<br>1)Add to your table of contents: Multiplication with Fractions. Go to the next blank page in your blue math journal. <br>2)Title the Page: Multiplication with Fractions. <br>3)Purpose: You will be reviewing how to multiply a fraction by a fraction, a whole number by a fraction, multiplying by mixed numbers, and how to simplify. You can decide if you want to do two or three-column notes. <br><br>Multiplying 2 Fractions<br>1) Watch the Math Antics Multiplying Fractions video that is attached to this assignment. <br>2) When you are done watching the video, have some time to practice the skill on IXL 6th grade L7 to at least a 70 smart score.<br><br>Multiplying a Fraction by a Whole Number. <br>1) Watch the YouTube short that is linked below. Continue your notes about multiplication with fractions. <br>2) Practice: IXL L1 or L2. Get at least a 70 smart score. <br><br>Simplifying Fractions<br>1) Add a section to your notes for simplifying fractions.
