A HUGE thank you to all of the families who donated food to our Fall Dinner Basket drive. Baskets will be assembled by Dana Conder’s 6th Grade class and delivered to selected GVA-DC families this week!
INVITATIONS
All GVA-DC families are invited to the Board of Directors meeting pm Wednesday, November 20th at 6:30 pm to celebrate all of the students who completed the DELF (French) and HSK/YCT (Mandarin) exams last year. Students will be receiving diplomas from the respective government agencies honoring their achievements. Refreshments will be provided!
On Thursday, the Cafeteria staff will be hosting a Thanksgiving Dinner for staff and students during lunch time. Regular lunch prices apply.
Science Fair- The Science Fair will be open to the public from 4:00 pm – 4:30 pm.
PARKING LOT REMINDERS
Officer Marshall was on campus last week and saw several parking violations during drop-off and pick-up. These included parents parking in handicap spaces (without a handicap sticker), parking on Ponderosa Drive and parking in front of orange cones in the parking lot. Future violations could result in a ticket from the Parker Police Department.
In addition, please be patient and kind to other parents in the parking lot. Remember, children often take their cues from adults about how to handle adversity!!
WINTER HEALTH REMINDERS
Lice
Lice can only be spread by live bugs moving from one head to the next. To prevent the spread of lice remind your student(s) to not share headbands, hats or anything else that has direct contact with their head. In addition, please do not encourage students to get hats from the lost and found.
Germs
Please encourage your student(s) to frequently wash their hands/use hand sanitizer often especially after blowing their noses and using the restroom.
