Dash Pass Dismissal System
What is DashPass?
DashPass is a mobile, automated dismissal system that simplifies student pickup. Using the app, parents or guardians can check in from their vehicle. This instantly alerts the student’s teacher that their ride has arrived, eliminating the need to walk to the front office or wait in long lines.
Key Features
-
Automated Notifications: Teachers know the moment a parent arrives in the pickup zone.
-
Contactless Pickup: Check in directly from your car using the app.
-
Safer Dismissals: Reduced foot traffic and congestion create a calmer environment for students and families.
-
Easy App Access: Available for both iOS and Android, with real-time updates.
Benefits for Families
-
Faster Dismissal: Students are released as their ride arrives, minimizing wait times.
-
Less Congestion: Fewer crowds and smoother traffic flow in the parking lot.
-
Enhanced Security: Students are only released to their verified pickup person.
-
Convenience: Manage the entire pickup process from your phone.
DashPass is designed to give parents peace of mind while making dismissal more efficient for everyone.
Sign Up for DashPass
To set up your DashPass account for school pick up, follow these steps for either the mobile app or web version:
For Parents/Guardians
-
Download the DashPass app: Install “DashPass Pickup” from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
-
Sign Up with the School Email: Open the app and enter the email address you provided to your school in the parent or guardian section, then press “REQUEST LOGIN LINK.” If you are using the web version, go to the DashPass portal and use the sign-up option.
-
Email Verification: Check your email (including spam/junk folder) for a confirmation or activation email. Click the provided link to verify and activate your account.
-
Log In: Return to the app and log in using your registered email and password.
-
Location Services: Allow DashPass to access your location when prompted by the app. This is required for automatic student queueing when you arrive at the school pickup zone.
-
View Your Student(s): If the email you used matches your school’s records, your child(ren) should appear on your DashPass home screen for daily pickup.
-
If you do not see your student, make sure you are using the same email address you gave the school.
-
Adding or Authorizing Other Drivers to DashPass
If someone else (such as another parent, guardian, or authorized driver) will pick up your child, you can share a secure QR code or direct link from the app. The other person must create their own DashPass account, scan the QR from your app, and you will need to confirm their authorization via email for added security.
-
For carpools, you can create and manage them inside the DashPass app.
DashPass Helpful Tips
Ensure that location services (“Always On” or “While Using the App”) are enabled on your phone for DashPass to function correctly at pick up.
-
The setup process and access may vary if your school has customized settings, but these core steps apply to most implementations.
Following these instructions will activate your account and get you set up for safe, convenient school pick up with DashPass.
