Volunteer Appreciation Week

National Volunteer Week is an annual celebration observed in many countries to promote and show appreciation for volunteerism and volunteering. In the United States it is organized by the Points of Light foundation and it is held in mid to late April.

In recognition of Volunteer Appreciation Week, I would like to extend a very heartfelt thank you to all of our families who volunteered at Global Village Academy- Douglas County this year. Parent volunteers made this year a very special one for the students at GVA-DC and also for me. You have been an invaluable member of our school community and your time and talents contributed to providing a successful year of learning for each of our students.

Thank you!
