2024-2025 GVA-DC Drop-off and Pick-up Procedures

 

Please follow the white arrows when entering.

  • Use the crosswalk to get from the lot to the building safely.

 

When leaving, stick to the ONE-WAY traffic heading east.

  • Stay in the outer lane (the lane farthest from the building) and proceed to the exit.

Morning Reminders

  • Supervision: 7:40 AM - 8:00 AM
  • Building Entry: 7:40 AM
  • Classes Begin: 8:00 AM

Before School Care

  • Begins at 6:30 AM
  • Provider: Innovation Learning
  • Procedure: Park in the front lot (not the staff lot).
  • Walk your child to the back (playground) door.

 

Morning Drive-Through Drop-off

  • Start Time: 7:40 AM

 

  • Use all three lanes between the parking lot and the street.
  • Merge into one lane.
  • Pull forward to the end of the sidewalk for curbside drop-off.
  • Students exit on the curb side; parents stay in the car.
  • Remain in the right lane to exit.

 

Morning Park and Walk In

  • Start Time: 7:40 AM

 

  • Follow the white arrows to enter the parking lot.
  • Park and use the crosswalk to the front door “kiss and go” zone.
  • Parents are not allowed to walk students to classrooms.
  • Follow the ONE WAY flow of traffic to exit, using the outside lane.
 

Afternoon Reminders

  • Parents are discouraged from picking up students between 3:00 PM - 3:30 PM
  • Dismissal Time: 3:30 PM
  • Latest Pick-Up: 4:00 PM

 

Afternoon Pick-Up Procedures

 

Walk-Up Uses Door A

  • Follow the white arrows to the parking lot.
  • Park and use the crosswalk to Door A (East door, right side).
  • Staff will scan your QR code, signaling your child to come to Door A.
  • Follow ONE-WAY traffic to exit using the outside lane.

 

Drive-Up Uses Door B

  • Use all three lanes between the parking lot and the street.
  • Merge into one lane.
  • Staff will scan your QR code from your car.
  • Pull forward to the end of the sidewalk.
  • Your child will exit from Door B (West doors, left side).
  • Stay in the right lane to exit.
  • Students should be able to enter the vehicle without assistance; staff can only assist with car doors.

QR Codes

  • Each family receives unique QR codes and a family number.
  • Distribute QR codes to anyone picking up your child (must be listed in the Parent Portal).
  • Use the physical card or a bright photo of the card.

Lost or Need a QR Code

  • Please park and go to the office with your ID.
  • Staff will call your child and print a new QR sheet if needed.

After School Programs

ENCORE

  • Classes run from3:45 PM - 4:45 PM
  • Dismissal at 4:45 PM through the front door

Innovation Learning

  • The program runs from 3:30 PM - 6:00 PM
  • Pick-up from the back (playground) door)

Enroll in Innovation Learning for emergency pick-up delays after 4:00 PM.
