From the Principal

Dear Global Village Academy Families,

Welcome to another exciting week at Global Village Academy! We have important updates and reminders to share with you, including how you can make an impact, support your child’s learning, and celebrate our vibrant school community.

Help Your Language Village Earn a Pajama Day! Complete the SAC Survey Today!

Your voice matters! It’s time to complete the School Accountability Committee (SAC) Survey, and your participation can help your child’s language village win a Pajama Day celebration!

Here’s How It Works:

  • The language village with the highest percentage of survey completions will earn a Pajama Day!
  • Other villages can also earn a Pajama Day if they achieve an 80% or higher completion rate.
  • Let’s make sure every voice is heard and every village has the chance to celebrate!

Make It Easy to Participate!

  • Look for your child’s sticker! Each student will receive a promotional sticker with a QR code linking directly to the survey.
  • Simply scan the code and complete the survey—it only takes a few minutes!

Your feedback helps us improve and grow while giving your child’s village the chance to enjoy a fun Pajama Day celebration. Thank you for your support!

Ensuring Timely Pick-Up and Safe Dismissal

We kindly remind all families to pick up students by 4:00 PM each school day.

Why It Matters:

  • Student Well-Being: Late pick-ups can cause stress for students.
  • Safety: Ensures proper supervision during dismissal.
  • Staff Respect: Allows staff to transition smoothly to their other responsibilities.

If you need additional time, consider enrolling in our Innovation Learning after-school care program for a safe, structured environment. Learn more and enroll here.

Technology and Device Use Policies

To maintain a focused learning environment, please review and reinforce these policies at home:

  • Cell phones must be turned off and stored in backpacks during the school day.
  • Smartwatches may not be used for communication or entertainment during school hours.
  • The school is not responsible for lost or stolen devices.

Consequences for Unauthorized Use:

  • First offense: Device is confiscated and returned to the student after school.
  • Subsequent offenses: Parent or guardian must pick up the device.

Thank you for helping us maintain a distraction-free learning space!

Celebrating Attendance Success!

Since the launch of our Perfect Attendance Challenge in September 2024, we’ve seen incredible dedication to regular attendance!

Why Attendance Matters:

  • Academic Success: Regular attendance builds essential skills and keeps students on track.
  • Social Growth: Encourages strong relationships with peers and teachers.
  • Confidence & Responsibility: Fosters reliability and preparation for future success.

We’re thrilled to recognize students with perfect attendance and look forward to offering new incentives to encourage this important habit.

Thank you for being an integral part of the Global Village Academy community. Let’s make this week another step toward extraordinary growth and success!

Warm regards,

Stacy Bush,
