Thank you for attending Parent-Teacher Conferences before the break. Your time and effort are deeply appreciated—partnering with our school for the benefit of your child(ren) is truly invaluable. We are grateful for your ongoing support.
Quarter 4 is here!
As we head into the final part of the school year, it is critical that students are on time and in attendance each day. These final months are packed with important learning—students will finish instruction on grade-level standards, participate in end-of-year assessments, and begin preparing for the transition to their next grade level.
NEW INFORMATION
ENCORE – Quarter 4 Begins Today!
Quarter 4 ENCORE classes start Monday, March 24. Be sure to check with your child about their new ENCORE class assignments and what materials they might need.
Class Picture Day – Wednesday, March 26
Each student will have two pictures taken: one with their English teacher and one with their Immersion teacher. Order forms will reflect the cost for both pictures.
- Class Picture Day is a FREE DRESS DAY! Students may come dressed in clothing of their choice (school-appropriate, please).

Read4Funds — THANK YOU!
We are thrilled to share that our school raised $13,242.33 toward our $20,000 goal—WOW! These funds will help support our future 8th-grade students’ international trips.
- Our students also read a combined 34,834 minutes—that’s an average of 78 minutes per student!
- Prize Day is Friday, March 28. Individual prizes will be delivered to PM classes.
- Dippin’ Dots Party — Congratulations to the following classes for reaching their fundraising goal:
- Skeith
- Jarrell
- Korn
- Money Machine Winners! Several students earned time in the money machine on Friday—what a fun way to celebrate their hard work!
DRESS CODE REFRESHERS
Tops:
- Solid-colored GVA-DC T-shirts, polos, sweatshirts, or sweaters (long or short-sleeved)
- Any GVA-DC logo is acceptable, including Spirit Wear
- All sweaters, sweatshirts/hoodies, and jackets worn inside the building must have a GVA-DC logo
Bottoms:
- Must be dress pant material in khaki, navy blue, or black
- No denim jeans
- Leggings/tights may only be worn under skirts
Shoes:
- Sneakers are required every day for safety and participation in all activities
