Here are some fun facts about our run:
- As a school we ran 9,912 laps! That equals 619.5 miles.
- The school average laps per student was 25.4.
- The highest class average laps per student was Oscar Valcaral Nova’s 6th graders with 38.2. That earns them extra recess!
- Ingrid Delaflor’s 1st grade class was your Best Spirit winners. They win a hamster ball party!
We are more than halfway to our goal of raising $25,000 towards enhancing our playground with basketball hoops, gaga pit, outdoor classroom and we can’t do it without your help! Students can earn individual, class and school-wide prizes & events! The funds this year will be used to benefit all of our students.
This year’s goal is only $75 per student – easily attainable! The best strategy is to help your student start finding sponsors & donors right away. Check out the parent letter or our website for the full list of prizes your student can earn – some of them are listed at the end of this email.

Some highlights are:
- Goal tracking thermometers in real time for school and classrooms!
- Simple online giving for friends, family and other donors!
- Parents can check students’ donations easily on the “Check my student donations” tab. Use the password douglas and then follow directions on the following page to see posted donations for your student(s)
- Students or parents can send out emails to potential donors directly through the website! Personalize the pre-loaded email message on the “Family Resources” tab to let everyone know how to sponsor your student!
