March is Youth Art Month - Celebrate With Us!

"The World Needs Art"

March is Youth Art Month (YAM), a time to celebrate creativity, expression, and the power of visual arts in education.

At GVA–DC, we are proud to join this nationwide celebration and showcase how art helps our students communicate ideas, explore cultures, and develop confidence and creativity. Thanks to the leadership of our amazing Art Teacher, Ms. Bowman, our students will enjoy several meaningful and engaging opportunities throughout March.

Why Youth Art Month Matters

This year’s theme, “The World Needs Art,” reminds us that creativity is essential in every field, from science and engineering to communication and leadership. Through art, our students learn to think critically, express themselves confidently, and appreciate diverse perspectives.

We are grateful for Ms. Bowman’s dedication to building a vibrant, inclusive, and inspiring art program that nurtures both skill and imagination.

We invite all families to join us in celebrating our talented student artists throughout March. Thank you for supporting the arts at GVA–DC and for helping our students show the world just how much it needs art!
