Welcome to Ms. Burgos' Second Grade English Class!

Hi Dragon Families!

We started Unit 5: Solving Problems Through Technology. Essential Question: Where do ideas for inventions come from? We will learn that people are constantly inventing new things to solve problems. Inventions are often inspired by nature. Anyone can be an inventor!

Dear 2nd Grade Families,

We are excited to share that our 2nd grade students will be heading to Skate City for a fun and engaging STEM-focused field trip that brings science to life through movement and exploration!

During this interactive experience, students will:

  • Learn about Newton’s Three Laws of Motion and how they connect to real-world experiences and roller skating

  • Explore how force and mass affect motion

  • Participate in a hands-on STEM activity by constructing a balloon rocket

This field trip blends science learning with physical activity, helping students make meaningful connections between classroom concepts and real-world applications.
