- Warm up: IXL JJ 2---Must get to a smart score of at least 70 before you move on.
- Math book page 733-736, these pages will be good review to get you ready for a quiz tomorrow.
- If you finish, then you need to work on I-Ready lessons. I will be doing a grade for I-Ready lessons this week. You should have a total of 8 done by Friday.

I know we have been encountering a lot of math problems that require us to know how to multiply by a fraction, and we need a refresher on it. Today is going to be that refresher of all things fractions! Here is what you need to do:
If you would like to work with a partner and you know you will be successful with one another you can. I will not be giving us another day to do these things, so it is very important you stay focused and work hard to complete all of these tasks.

Set up notes in blue journal:
1)Add to your table of contents: Multiplication with Fractions. Go to the next blank page in your blue math journal.
2)Title the Page: Multiplication with Fractions.
3)Purpose: You will be reviewing how to multiply a fraction by a fraction, a whole number by a fraction, multiplying by mixed numbers, and how to simplify. You can decide if you want to do two or three-column notes.
Multiplying 2 Fractions
1) Watch the Math Antics Multiplying Fractions video that is attached to this assignment.
2) When you are done watching the video, have some time to practice the skill on IXL 6th grade L7 to at least a 70 smart score.
Multiplying a Fraction by a Whole Number.
1) Watch the YouTube short that is linked below. Continue your notes about multiplication with fractions.
2) Practice: IXL L1 or L2. Get at least a 70 smart score.
Simplifying Fractions
1) Add a section to your notes for simplifying fractions. Watch the Math Antics Simplifying Fractions Video that is attached below and take notes.
Multiplying with Mixed Numbers
1)Watch the second youtube short that is attached down below and add to your notes from what you learn.

2) After that, choose a partner from your table group. Together, read page 54 and highlight/annotate as you go. Then, answer questions 1–4 on page 55 with your partner. When finished, check your work using the answer book on my desk.
3)Complete page 56 independently. When done, check your answers in the answer book.
4) If you finish early, you may work on i-Ready Math or IXL HH6 and HH7 or their learning games.
