From the Principal

Thank you for your support and flexibility regarding continuing remote learning through the holidays. It was not an easy decision to make, however I feel it is the best decision for our school community as a whole. For those families needing remote learning support, Innovation Learning is operating a Remote Learning Support Program on another site and is open to GVA-DC families. Please email Stacy Bush at [email protected] for more information.

Like many of you, I am anxious to get back to in-person learning in January! With that being said, it is time to declare how your students intend to continue learning through the end of the year. Please click here and complete the short survey “GVA-DC Options for Learning: Semester 2” .
  • Families have the option of continuing in their current learning environment (in-person or virtual) or changing their learning model.
  • Keep in mind that this choice is for the remainder of the school year.
  • This information is critical to the staffing and planning of our programs.

Thank you for completing the survey ASAP!!

Outdoor Classroom

A huge thank you goes out to Adam Jaffer who completed his Eagle Scout Project last weekend at GVA-DC. Adam installed an outdoor classroom with enough seating for 30 students!! A mobile whiteboard is housed in the cafeteria for use in the outdoor classroom. Look for more exciting additions to our “backyard” as we continue finishing up our outdoor projects!!

Again, I would like to thank you for your ongoing support and flexibility during these crazy times! Stay healthy and safe!

Stronger together!
