My name is Jessica Weiss (Ms. Weiss) and I am your student’s school counselor.
A little bit about myself, I have been married to my husband for 8 years and we have a 4-year-old-son. I am a Colorado native and I love to bake, spend time in my garden, and hang out with my family.
School counseling is more than a job to me, it is my passion. As a school counselor, my role is to focus on your student’s academic success, social-emotional development, and help prepare them for post-secondary success.
This year, I will continue teaching the Second Step curriculum. This program focuses on social-emotional learning (SEL) and will teach your student(s) to have empathy, manage their emotions, and solve problems. The program is designed to increase school success and promote social-emotional competence and self-regulation.
