This week is packed with events leading up to our Run!
What’s Happening This Week
9/17 Emails Due for Prize:
- Make sure to send out your informational emails from our website!
- You can send up to 10 at a time, just separate the addresses with a comma (,). You can also put more than one student's name in the box for prize credit.
- Your students can earn a Magic Water Bottle Sticker when they send out at least 10 emails from our website by 9/17 at 5 pm.
9/20 Donations Due for Pig Races
- Encourage your student to get a couple of donations in before the Run and their class can win a fun prize!
- Our online form makes it easy for friends and family to donate.
- Every class that reaches $40 average $/student by 5 pm on 9/20 earns a Pig in the Pig Race!
- We will run the Pig Race on prize day which is 10/5.
- The winning pig earns drawstring backpacks with the run logo for the class!
- You can check on your class’ progress on our website here.
- If you have donations that are not showing up online, it is most likely due to a misspelled name or nickname that doesn’t match up to your student’s name on the roster. Please be assured that the Run4Funds staff will go through all donations before any prizing to make sure that they match up to students. No donations will be missed.
Social Media Post
We suggest that you make at least one post on FB, IG, etc asking for friends and family to support your student. Following is an idea for a post, change it up for your student as necessary!
Katie is participating in Global Village Academy DC’s Dragon Fun Run this week! Her goal is to run 35 laps in 30 minutes. She wants to raise $500 for her school so she can earn a Twisty Pencil, Human Hamster Ball @ School, Gift Card for Inflatable Rental and 5 Picks from the Lolli Tree for Cash or Prizes! 9/21 Fun Run Day
- Students should wear their Run t-shirts and running shoes today. We will not be providing cups at the run so it is very important that students bring their own water bottles!!
- Students will run/walk with their class for 30 minutes around a track at school. Each lap is 1/16th of a mile. Students will grab a jelly bracelet after each lap to keep track of their lap count. All students will receive a lollipop at the end of the run.
- Your student will bring home their lap card and collection envelope so they can start collecting any per lap sponsorships and additional donations!

9/28 All Donations Due
- All donations are due today. We are asking that donations be done online via our website. If you do receive cash or checks, please put them in the collection envelope and return it to your teacher. You do not need to return anything for online donations. Checks should be made out to PIC-GVA-DC
