DCSD Mask Mandate Update

Prior to making a decision about mask-wearing, the GVA-DC Board of Directors will be adding another mask discussion to our Wednesday, December 8th board meeting agenda.

If you’d like to give a public comment at our board meeting, please arrive by 6:30 pm and sign up. If you are joining us via zoom, sign up via the comment section with your name and email address no later than 6:45 pm. People will be invited to speak in the order in which they have signed up, in person will start and zoom will follow. Generally, the Board will not respond to comments made, although questions may be asked. The items raised may either be dealt with by the Administration or may become an agenda item at a future Board meeting. The Board encourages members of the public to exercise their First Amendment rights responsibility. For comments that are critical of staff members or specific students, we encourage members of the public to share such comments in executive session. Please let us know if you would like to speak in an executive session so that we can make appropriate arrangements at a subsequent Board Meeting. Once public comment has concluded, we ask that the audience remain silent during the remainder of the board meeting. As always, we appreciate your willingness to speak and value your comments.

Until the GVA-DC Board of Directors has made a decision regarding mask-wearing, GVA-DC will continue to require masks for all students, staff, volunteers, and visitors to our campus.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Laura Widhalm - GVA-DC BOD President

Stacy Bush - GVA-DC Principal
