Welcome Barb Love!

I am Barb Love and I am the new site director for Global Village Parker Innovation Learning! I have been here since before the Christmas break and am still getting my feet on the ground, but learning quickly!!

My long-term professional background is in social work and I switched over to education about six years ago, starting as a paraprofessional and progressing to be a substitute teacher. My passion and my bachelor's degrees are in biology and psychology. I am an avid birdwatcher and student of the natural world.

My eventual goals are to teach science at the upper elementary level or in middle school. Right now, my family needs are served by working here because of my split schedule. I am married with one grown son and my husband is disabled. I spend my time between shifts helping him and myself to get healthier!!

It is my pleasure to get to know your children and hopefully share some of my passion and knowledge about science with them. It is an honor to help them learn and grow!!
