We are seeing sore throats, fevers, and stomach bugs. Please use the following guidelines for determining whether a sick student is ready to return to school:
- The student must be fever free for 24 hours WITHOUT medication.
- The student must stay home for 48 hours after the last episode of vomiting UNLESS cleared to return by the school nurse or designee.
- The student must stay home for 48 hours after the last episode of diarrhea
- While at school, students who verbalize symptoms of illness are sent to the school’s health room.
- It is the policy of the school district to send children home who have a temperature of 100.4 degrees or more, have vomiting, have diarrhea, and/or have an undiagnosed skin eruption/rash.
